SUNY Empire State College Releasing - "All About Mentoring"

The summer issue of All About Mentoring, the journal devoted to SUNY Empire State College’s signature teaching method, has been released and is now available online. A biannual publication, All About Mentoring publishes essays, poetry, reflections on practice, reviews and visual art from the college’s faculty and staff and from scholars across the country and around the world. ]At Empire State College, the mentor is a distinctive faculty role and one, as Mandell describes it, “that incorporates the advisor, teacher, scholar, facilitator, resource and curriculum creator and academic generalist. Because of such multifacetedness, All About Mentoring has become one means to acknowledge this broad array of activity in which mentors participate.” SUNY Empire College serves more than 20,000 students worldwide at more than 35 locations in New York state and online. Its 70,000 alumni are active in their communities as entrepreneurs, politicians, business professionals, artists, nonprofit agency employees, teachers, veterans and active military, union members and more.
