Jefferson Community College Celebrates First Fall Commencment Ceremony

Jefferson Community College celebrated the College’s first-ever Fall Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the Robert R. & Jean S. Sturtz Theater.

Jefferson’s class of Fall 2014 graduates is comprised of 223 students who are candidates for graduation in December 2014 pending satisfactory completion of coursework. Four students will receive two degrees each bringing the total number of degrees and/certificates awarded to 228.  It is anticipated that the December 2014 graduates will represent the largest class of Fall semester graduates in College history. Approximately 40% of Fall graduates are active duty soldiers, military dependents, veterans, retirees or members of the Army Reserves.  Jefferson’s active duty and veteran students and faculty and staff veterans participating in the ceremony were distinguished by the red, white and blue cords worn in recognition of their service to our country.
